Vanille Noire is an oriental fragrance for women, composed by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud for Yves Rocher in 2010, the fifth of the house's Secrets d'Essences releases. It is built from three vanilla absolutes: Bourbon with its leathery edge, Tahitian which is soft and floral, and Uganda which is woody and spicy. Mandarin and orange blossom keep the opening light, mimosa adds a powdery yellow floral note, and Virginia cedar dries the base out. Warm rather than gourmand. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits autumn and winter, day or night.
