Idylle is a floral for women, composed by Thierry Wasser for Guerlain in 2009, the first he made after succeeding Jean-Paul Guerlain. It began with a rose: a blend of Bulgarian roses from a harvest that came out fruity, with raspberry and lychee about it, joined by the Plessis Robinson rose that Jean-Paul Guerlain had created. Those fruits show in the opening alongside freesia. Lily-of-the-valley, lilac, peony and jasmine widen the heart, and patchouli and white musk give it a soft chypre warmth. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits spring daytime.
