Shalimar Eau de Parfum is an oriental spicy fragrance for women, made for Guerlain by Jacques Guerlain and released in 1990. Bergamot, lemon and mandarin open it bright and cool before the warmth arrives: iris, rose and jasmine in the middle, then vanilla, opoponax, leather, incense and civet, powdery and balsamic and faintly animal. Shalimar began as a tribute to the love between the Emperor Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal, for whom he built the Taj Mahal, and takes its name from the Gardens of Shalimar, her favourite. It lasts a long time and projects strongly. Autumn and winter evenings.
