Black Lacquer is an oriental woody from Tom Ford for women and men, composed by Guillaume Flavigny and released in 2024. It opens on something unusual: ink and vinyl with black pepper and a splash of rum, glossy and smoky like fresh paint. The house built it around two new accords, a black lacquer and a Makassar ebony wood that leans towards leather and birch. Elemi adds resin, while apricot and a dark peony soften the heart before olibanum takes the base. It lasts a long time with moderate projection, suited to autumn and winter evenings.
