Noir de Noir

Noir de Noir is a chypre for women and men, created for Tom Ford in 2007 by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, Harry Fremont and Olivier Cresp for the Private Blend collection. Saffron opens it dry and leathery, then rose arrives dark and jammy with black truffle beside it, earthy and faintly savoury, and that pairing is what the whole fragrance rests on. Oakmoss and patchouli deepen the base, with vanilla and oud giving it sweetness and smoke. Rich and rather gothic. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it belongs to autumn and winter evenings.
