Grey Vetiver is a woody spicy fragrance for men, composed by Harry Fremont for Tom Ford in 2009. Grapefruit and sage open it clean over orange blossom, then nutmeg and pimento spice the middle with orris root keeping it smooth. Vetiver runs through all of it, and this is the polished kind, grey and faintly salty rather than the raw earthy sort, with oakmoss and amber rounding the base. Formal and easy to wear at once, which is unusual for the material. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits spring and summer daytime.
