Sahara Noir is an oriental floral for women, composed by Rodrigo Flores-Roux for Tom Ford in 2013 as a tribute to incense and the perfume traditions of the Middle East. Labdanum and cypress open it resinous and bitter over bitter orange, then frankincense takes the centre with cinnamon, papyrus and Moroccan rose around it, and beeswax adds a honeyed, animalic weight. Amber, oud, cedar and balsams finish it dense and dark. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, for autumn and winter evenings.
