40 Knots

40 Knots is an aromatic aquatic fragrance for women and men, released by Xerjoff in 2012 with no perfumer credited. Salt and sea water dominate it, mineral and sharp rather than the sweet blue kind of marine scent, with green notes keeping the opening bitter and cedar giving the base a dry woody spine. It belongs to the house's Join the Club collection, in which each scent stands for a club; this one is the yacht club, and the house said the formulas would stay secret. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it works in spring, summer and autumn, day or night.
