Alexandria II is an oriental woody fragrance for women and men, composed by Chris Maurice for Xerjoff in 2012. Apple and cinnamon open it sweet and spiced over lavender and rosewood, an unusual pairing that gives the top a stewed, almost edible quality. Rose and cedar fill the middle with lily-of-the-valley lightening it. The base is where it turns serious: oud and sandalwood with amber, vanilla and musk, thick and resinous. Very little about it is restrained. It lasts all day and projects strongly, and it belongs to autumn and winter evenings.
