La Capitale is an oriental vanilla for women and men, made by Chris Maurice for Xerjoff in 2018. Strawberry, peach and caramel open it very sweet, with labdanum already adding a resinous depth underneath, then leather, saffron and ginger give the middle a dry, slightly bitter spice that stops the fruit cloying. Bourbon vanilla and benzoin finish it thick and balsamic. Gourmand but not simple. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it suits winter, spring and autumn, day or night.
