XJ 1861 Renaissance is a citrus aromatic fragrance for women and men, released by Xerjoff in 2011 with no perfumer credited. It belongs to a trio named for the year Italy was unified, each celebrating a part of the country: this one the Renaissance, the others Rome and Sicily. Amalfi lemon, tangerine, bergamot and petitgrain open it bright and clean, mint cools a transparent heart of rose and lily-of-the-valley, and patchouli, cedar, musk and amber give it a body most citrus scents lack. It lasts a long time but projects moderately, and it suits spring and summer daytime.
