Nio is a woody spicy fragrance for men, released by Xerjoff in 2009 in the Shooting Stars collection and conceived as a walk through the southern Italian countryside. No perfumer is credited. Calabrian bergamot and neroli open it green and bright, then cardamom, nutmeg and pink pepper give the middle a dry spice with jasmine softening it. Vetiver, Virginia cedar, guaiac wood, patchouli and amber close it, dry rather than sweet. It lasts a long time and projects moderately, and it suits spring and summer daylight.
