Amarige is Givenchy's floral for women, created by Dominique Ropion in 1991. The name is an anagram of mariage, the French word for marriage, and the scent is as generous as that suggests. Peach, plum and mandarin open onto a dense heart of tuberose, mimosa and gardenia, with a juicy touch of black currant keeping it bright rather than heavy. Sandalwood, vanilla, tonka and musk make a soft, sweet base. This is a big, sunny white floral with long staying power and a wide trail, happiest in the cooler months, day or night.
