Pi is an oriental woody fragrance for men, composed by Alberto Morillas for Givenchy in 1998. Basil, rosemary and tarragon open it green and herbal, which turns out to be a feint: what follows is soft and sweet, anise and neroli giving way to vanilla, almond and tonka bean over benzoin and cedar. Warm and faintly nutty, and more comforting than most masculines of its kind. It was followed by several versions of its own, from Pi Fraiche in 2001 to Pi Neo in 2008. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits autumn and winter evenings.
