Angélique Noire is an oriental floral for women and men, composed by Daniela Andrier for Guerlain in 2005 as one of the three scents of L'Art et la Matière, made for the reopening of the house's boutique on the Champs-Elysées. Angelica runs through it from top to base, green and faintly bitter, with pear and pink pepper sweetening the opening and caraway keeping it spiced. Vanilla and cedar turn the drydown creamy and powdery without going gourmand. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it works day or night in spring, autumn and winter.
