L'Heure Bleue Eau de Parfum is an oriental floral for women, composed by Jacques Guerlain in 1912 and named for the blue hour, the dusk before the first stars appear. Anise and coriander give it an odd, spicy-sweet opening over bergamot and neroli, then it turns velvety: heliotrope and violet with carnation and cloves against rose, jasmine and tuberose. The drydown is deeply powdery, iris and vanilla over tonka bean, benzoin and sandalwood. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it suits autumn and winter, day or night.
