Eau de Pamplemousse Rose is a citrus aromatic for women and men, composed by Jean-Claude Ellena for Hermès in 2009, part of the Colognes collection the house traces to its first cologne of 1979, later named Eau d'orange verte. Three notes are all the record gives: grapefruit, orange and rose. Grapefruit sets the tone, bitter and fizzy, and the rose infuses it rather than perfuming it, thinning the flower until it only tints the citrus. It does not last long and projects moderately, which is what a cologne is for. Summer daylight.
