Terre d'Hermes Parfum is a woody chypre for men, composed by Jean-Claude Ellena in 2009, the deepest concentration of the house's Terre d'Hermes. The note list is short and every part of it counts: orange and grapefruit at the top, bright but never sweet, then a flint accord that smells of struck stone and gives the whole thing its mineral character. Woods, oakmoss and benzoin hold the base, dry and earthy. Spare and legible, with nothing hidden in it. It lasts a long time and projects moderately, and it works day or night through spring, summer and autumn.
