Hermessence Ambre Narguile is an oriental spicy fragrance for women and men, composed by Jean-Claude Ellena for Hermès in 2004 as part of the Hermessence collection, which he conceived as short olfactory poems. The narguile of the title is the water pipe, and the fragrance recreates the room around it: tobacco blended with honey, caramel, rum and cinnamon, sweet and smoky at once, with benzoin, labdanum and tonka bean holding the amber underneath. Comfortable rather than heavy. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, suiting autumn and winter, day or night.
