Voyage d'Hermes

Voyage d'Hermes is a woody floral musk for women and men, composed by Jean-Claude Ellena for Hermès in 2010. It is sketched rather than painted, which is Ellena's way: cardamom and Amalfi lemon with juniper berries at the top, spicy and cold, then a middle of tea and vague green and floral impressions, then cedar and musk holding a clean woody finish. Nothing is heavy and nothing is loud, and the whole thing reads as fresh wood over skin. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits spring and summer daytime.
