Allure Eau de Parfum is an oriental vanilla for women, composed by Jacques Polge for Chanel in 1999. It is listed without a pyramid, and it wears that way: peach and mandarin sit alongside magnolia, jasmine and rose from the start, and the fruit keeps the flowers from turning formal. Vanilla is what it settles into, warm and soft, with cedar and vetiver underneath so the drydown stays dry rather than sugary. Rounded and hard to pick apart. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it suits autumn and winter, day or night.
