Chanel No 5 Eau de Parfum is a floral aldehyde from Chanel for women, made by Jacques Polge in 1986 as a richer reading of the 1921 original that Ernest Beaux created for Coco Chanel. Aldehydes give the famous soapy sparkle over ylang-ylang, neroli and peach; jasmine, rose, iris and lily-of-the-valley form the heart; sandalwood, vetiver, oakmoss and vanilla ground the whole thing. Carole Bouquet fronted the campaign. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it suits autumn and winter, day or night.
