Bleu de Chanel is a woody aromatic fragrance for men, made in house at Chanel by Jacques Polge in 2010. Grapefruit, lemon and mint open it crisp and faintly peppery, then ginger and nutmeg warm the middle, and the base does the real work: cedar, sandalwood, vetiver, patchouli and a dry thread of incense, with Iso E Super giving it that smooth, transparent hum. Clean and formal without being cold. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately. Spring through autumn, day or night.
