Coco Noir is an oriental woody fragrance for women, composed by Jacques Polge and Christopher Sheldrake for Chanel and launched in 2012. Polge set it in Venice and treated it as a nocturnal continuation of Coco and Coco Mademoiselle. Grapefruit and bergamot open sharp, rose and narcissus give the heart its dark bloom with peach in support, and the base is where it settles: patchouli, sandalwood, frankincense and tonka bean, warm and faintly spiced with cloves. Moderate in projection and longevity, it is an evening scent for autumn and winter.
