Allure Homme is an oriental woody fragrance for men, composed by Jacques Polge for Chanel in 1999. Lemon, mandarin and peach open it bright with ginger warming them, and lavender keeps the top from turning fruity. The middle is broad and hard to pull apart, pepper and woods against a quiet floral of rose, jasmine and freesia. It finishes sweet and soft: vanilla, tonka bean and sandalwood with coconut, leather and benzoin. Polge built it so that no single line stands out. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it works in spring, autumn and winter, day or night.
