Dior Homme Intense 2011 is a woody floral musk for men, made by François Demachy for Dior in 2011. Iris is the whole point: cool, powdery and slightly earthy, closer to face powder and root than to a flower, lifted by lavender at the opening and given a soft fruit edge by pear and ambrette. Virginia cedar and vetiver hold it up underneath and keep it dry. Elegant and formal rather than friendly. It lasts a long time and projects strongly. Autumn and winter, in the evening.
