Sauvage Elixir

Sauvage Elixir is an aromatic fragrance for men, made for Dior by François Demachy in 2021. It is dense and spiced rather than fresh: nutmeg, cinnamon and cardamom over a flash of grapefruit, then lavender on its own in the middle, and a base of licorice, sandalwood, amber, patchouli and Haitian vetiver. The licorice is what gives it its signature, sweet and faintly medicinal against the dry woods. It lasts all day and projects strongly, so a light hand is worth it. Autumn and winter, in the evening.
