Dior Homme is a woody floral musk for men, composed by François Demachy in 2011. Lavender, sage and bergamot open it clean and aromatic, and then iris takes the whole middle: cool, powdery, rooty, the note the line is known for. Cacao sits beside it, dry and bitter rather than sweet, with amber warming both. Leather, patchouli and vetiver give the base its earth. Unusually floral for a masculine, and the better for it. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it works in spring, autumn and winter, day or night.
