Midnight Poison is a woody chypre for women, created for Dior in 2007 by François Demachy, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud and Olivier Cresp, and the fifth fragrance in the Poison line. The note list is short and the fragrance is direct: bergamot and mandarin open it bright, rose fills the middle, and patchouli carries the rest, dark and earthy against amber and vanilla. More sombre than the citrus opening prepares you for. John Galliano took Cinderella as the idea behind its look, the mystery beginning when the clock strikes twelve. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it belongs to autumn and winter evenings.
