Black Opium Intense

Black Opium Intense is an oriental vanilla for women, created for Yves Saint Laurent in 2019 by Honorine Blanc, Marie Salamagne, Nathalie Lorson and Olivier Cresp. It reworks Black Opium around a bitter edge: absinthe opens it green and medicinal with boysenberry for a dark fruit sweetness, and coffee dominates the heart, less roasted than smoky, with jasmine sambac and orange blossom softening it. Licorice and sandalwood keep the vanilla base from turning simply sweet. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits autumn and winter evenings.
