L'Homme

L'Homme is a woody fragrance for men, created for Yves Saint Laurent in 2006 by Anne Flipo, Dominique Ropion, Juliette Karagueuzoglou and Pierre Wargnye. Ginger, lemon and bergamot open it sharp and clean, then white pepper, basil and violet leaf give the middle a cool, faintly green spice. It dries down on cedar and Tahitian vetiver with tonka bean softening the edges. Restrained rather than loud, and built for daylight rather than evening. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits spring, summer and autumn.
