Y Eau de Parfum is an aromatic fougere for men, made for Yves Saint Laurent in 2018 by Dominique Ropion and Claire Liégent. Crisp apple and ginger open it over bergamot, sage and juniper berries give the middle a dry herbal edge, and the base is where it earns its keep: amberwood, tonka bean and a thread of incense over cedar and vetiver. The house described it as its white shirt and black jacket in a bottle, which is about right. It lasts a long time and projects moderately. Spring through autumn, day or night.
