Kouros is an aromatic fougere for men, composed by Pierre Bourdon for Yves Saint Laurent in 1981. Aldehydes, coriander and clary sage open it sharp and almost metallic, then it turns floral and powdery on carnation, geranium and orris root with cinnamon warming them. The base is the part it is known for: civet, honey and leather over musk, oakmoss and amber, animalic in a way modern masculines almost never are. Nothing about it is polite. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it works in autumn and winter, day or night.
