L'Homme Libre is a woody spicy fragrance for men, made by Carlos Benaïm and Olivier Polge for Yves Saint Laurent in 2011. It is cool and green at the top, violet leaf and basil with star anise giving it a faint liquorice edge over bergamot. Pink pepper and nutmeg warm the middle without much weight, and vetiver and patchouli finish it dry and earthy. It is a lighter variation on L'Homme from 2006. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, suiting spring and summer daylight.
