Parisienne is a floral woody musk for women, created for Yves Saint Laurent in 2009 by Sophia Grojsman and Sophie Labbé. Blackberry and cranberry open it tart, and then the note that defines it arrives: vinyl, a lacquered, slightly plasticky sharpness the house described as a make-up bag and hot city pavement. Damask rose, violet and peony fill the heart out around it, sweet and powdery. Patchouli, vetiver, sandalwood and musk close the base. Odd and quite deliberate. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits spring daytime.
